After launchinge the next-generation Note 9 series, Xiaomi has announced the first smartphone in its regular 9 series. Called the Redmi 9, the phone brings four rear cameras, 5020mAh battery, up to 64GB of storage and 6.53-inch full HD+ display. It is the successor to the company's popular Redmi 8 which was launched last year and currently costs Rs 9,499 in India.

The handset is priced aggressively at  Rs 12,800 in Indian currency for the entry-level 3GB+32GB storage version and(roughly Rs 15,400) for the top-end 4GB+64GB variant. It arrives in three colour options namely Carbon Gray, Sunset Purple, and Ocean Green. Xiaomi is yet to announce its availability in the Indian market.

The phone features a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 1,080x2,340 pixels, 19:5:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.It has MediaTek Helio G80 processor, coupled with 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB storage models. The storage is further expandable via a dedicated microSD card. 

It runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11. In the camera department, the phone gets quad-camera featuring 13megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel macro sensor and  2-megapixel depth lens.

Further, the Redmi 9 has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual-band Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, and USB Type-C charging port. There is also a 5020mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast-charging support and 10W charger. 

After all it's a good deal but for top end variant i.e, ₹15,400 you can go for redmi note 9 pro it will be better.
